Courses for beginners
Scuba diver (half star)
Through online training, practice in closed water (pool depth) and open water diving in the sea, the SSI Scuba Diver course is the perfect foundation to become a professional and safe diver. You will learn everything you need to know about open water diving and earn an SSI certification that allows you to dive to depths of up to 12 meters under the supervision of an SSI professional. In this course you will complete almost half of the open water diver course. You can continue your studies at any time by completing the remaining lessons from the open water diver course (first star).
Open water diver (first star)
This open water diver course is the best way to start your life adventure as a certified diver. You will receive certification as an SSI Open Water diver. In the course you will learn everything you need to know about open water diving, you will receive a foundation that will allow you to continue developing in the diving hall and you will win an SSI certification that allows you to dive to depths of up to 18 meters.
Advanced open water diver (second star)
If you have decided to continue progressing and developing in the diving hall, join the SSI Advanced Adventurer course! With this course, you can try different specializations before proceeding to full-fledged specialized courses. This is a great way to learn what advanced diver training is and how it can be useful for your underwater adventures. During an advanced open water diver course, you will try 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive for each specialization after a detailed briefing with your SSI instructor. And another dive concludes. After you complete 6 dives you will receive a certification certificate as an SSI Advanced Adventurer open water diver
Nitrox specialization
As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom time and safety margin, as well as shorten the waiting time intervals between your dives - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this course you will acquire new skills and expand your knowledge in diving, you will learn how to plan and dive safely on enriched mixtures with an oxygen content of up to 40%. At the end of the course you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certificate.
Rescue diver
The SSI Diver Rescue Course teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, how to prevent accidents and practice rescue and first aid methods. Through a combination of hands-on training in the pool and open water, you will be prepared and confident in emergency and rescue situations. At the end of the course you will be certified as an SSI rescue diver.
Night diver
Night diving requires different skills than day diving. The SSI night diving and limited visibility specialization is the best way to learn about night diving and practice the techniques needed to become a professional and safe night diver. In this course you will gain all the knowledge and skills you need to dive safely and comfortably at night or in low visibility conditions. Through a combination of online learning and training dives in open water, you will learn how to enter and exit the water, use special equipment and easily communicate with your partner at night or in low visibility conditions. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified with SSI Diving Night and Visibility Limited and will be ready for safe night diving.
Perfect buoyancy
The SSI Perfect Buoyancy specialization is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most out of every dive. Buoyancy is the most important diving skill, but any diver will tell you that it takes time to perfect. A perfect buoyancy internship will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques so that you can control buoyancy faster and enjoy a more relaxed dive. In this exciting course you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in any diving situation. At the end of the course you will receive a perfect SSI floatation certificate. By improving your buoyancy skills, you'll soon be able to soar underwater with ease and take the underwater photos you've been dreaming of!
Deep diving
SSI Deep Diving expertise will teach you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a combination of academic sessions and sea dives. You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures, use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites anywhere you choose.
Most of the best dive sites for ocean diving are shipwrecks. These magnificent structures display an exceptionally high density of marine life and give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in living history while diving. Nothing beats a flutter ship dive. And the skills you will get in the SSI Wreck Diving training course will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to become certified divers to dive wrecks safely. Through a combination of academic classes and sea diving, you will learn how to safely dive shipwrecks up to 30 meters deep. All this will allow you to enjoy diving in shipwrecks with confidence and get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of this course, you will be SSI Wreck Diving certified.
Underwater photography
Underwater photography is a challenge in itself that you won't find on land, with the special SSI Photo & Video course, you will learn how to capture your amazing underwater experiences. This course provides the in-depth knowledge needed to dive with an underwater camera, as well as proper use, maintenance and storage of equipment. You can develop your skills and learn underwater photography and videography techniques safely and easily, and improve your diving skills when using an underwater camera. The science of diving
Join the SSI Science of Diving specialization and get a full understanding of the underwater world and its effect on the human body. This specialization is required for most SSI professional courses, as well as some extended range (technical) courses, and is an important way to expand your diving knowledge. You can get your SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification online without leaving your home and be ready to start your professional diving career.
Underwater scooter/DPV
If you want to make the most of your time underwater and have more fun diving, try diving with an underwater scooter. In the SSI Scooter/DPV Diving course, you will get the skills and knowledge needed to plan and perform dives safely using an underwater scooter. You will learn the special precautions required when using a scooter, how to keep in touch with a friend and how to operate your equipment so that you can safely enjoy new diving experiences. Upon completion of this course, you will be certified as an SSI Scooter/DPV Diving and will be able to dive up to 30 meters with an underwater scooter.
React right (first aid)
Right is an SSI first aid course that gives you the training and knowledge you need to provide first aid in an emergency. In this course you can choose which topics you want to learn, including initial assessment, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and more. You can also learn about using emergency oxygen while diving and the basics of using an automatic external defibrillator (AED). Through a combination of academic studies and practical training scenarios, this course will give you the tools and confidence you need to respond to emergencies. Once you receive your certification, you will be able to provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen, and operate AEDs in medical emergencies. Get certified in the SSI React Right specialization.

Assistant instructor
Assistant Instructor is the next step after earning a Divemaster designation in the Dive Instructor journey. This allows you to gain valuable teaching experience, practice briefings, teach academic disciplines and conduct training on the water. If you want to advance your career as a diving professional, you can complete an assistant instructor training course, pass the diving authority exams and become an international SSI assistant diving instructor.
